Any news is good news when it comes to being able to Jtag consoles. The discovery of the Reset Glitch hack is a major leap forward and allows unsigned code to be run on consoles with dashboards greater than 7371 including Xbox Slim (no xenon boards at this stage).

There is good and bad things to be aware of though.

On the plus side UNSIGNED CODE!!! (need we say more?)

On the negative side, No Xbox live.

Choice of glitch chip and installation, together with software setup,  can have a large impact on the usability and enjoyment of your glitch console.

I use the Coolrunner glitch chip because it is reliable, fast and is supplied with the correct wire types and lengths. Typically an xbox slim professionally installed with a coolrunner should boot anywhere from 5-30 seconds. I was recently given a console to look at that had a Matrix chip installed with AWG28 wire (a thin gage, single core wire) - with a glitch time of anywhere between 20 seconds and 12 minutes plus. A quality installation using a quality chip may cost the same or even NZ$20-$40 more but it is usually worth it.
